Message	I guess if your religious about it where it becomes a habit and you always are aware of it then why not? Come to think of it when I was 16 I had a Vega GT Wagon with a 262 SB Chevy in it with all the goodies, and the Vega hood opened at the windshield. After racing around Ft.Lauderdale Strip I used to pop the hood on the way home to cool it down and could see a definite temp difference. Ahh, the good ole days! I just don't think I would make a habit of it while driving because of the direction the hood opens. But hey, it's your hood, maybe a good reason to consider an aftermarket hood with the vents.
